Super Healthy Pumpkin Smoothie Recipes

We’ve put-together our favorite pumpkin smoothie recipes, as well as our top picks when it comes to kitchen gadgets and drink ware. Which recipe do you think wins?

Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie by Sally’s Baking Addiction

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup (120g) vanilla Greek yogurt1

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice2

1/2 cup (120ml) skim milk3

2 Tablespoons (30ml) pure maple syrup

2/3 cup (150g) pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)

1 cup ice

Directions:

Make sure you have a strong, powerful blender.

Add all of the ingredients to the blender in the order listed. Blend on high for at least 3 minutes or until smooth – this may take longer if your blender isn’t very strong. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.

Add more milk to thin out if it is too thick. Add a couple more ice cubes for a thicker texture, if desired. Add more spices to taste, if desired.

Healthy Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

Ingredients

½ cup [pumpkin puree, fresh or canned

1 frozen banana

1 cup almond milk, optional soy, lite coconut or skim milk

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup, more or less to taste

¼ tsp vanilla

¼ tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp allspice

½ cup ice

Directions

Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth.

Ingredients

1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

3/4 cup canned pumpkin, chilled

1/2 cup ice cubes

1/3 cup fresh orange juice

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Dash of ground cloves

1 ripe banana, sliced and frozen

Dash of ground cinnamon (optional)

Directions

Combine yogurt and next 8 ingredients (through banana) in a blender, and process until smooth. Garnish with dash of ground cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately.
